Berm Tha Saiyasith, age 64, of Falkville, AL, passed away July 12, 2026 whilst surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on May 3, 1962, in Ban Na-Oum, Sainyabuli, Laos, to Phet and Phan Saiyasith. He was preceded in death by his parents and both of his brothers, Siengmy and Thuan.
In 1984, Berm married the love of his life, Boonmee. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising four children. Berm is survived by his devoted wife, Boonmee; his children, Pranee (Sam), Pranik, Keith (Cicilia), and Sally; and his cherished grandchildren, Elleni, Kaiya, Avery, and Analeia.
Berm came to the United States in 1988, first settling in San Francisco, California. He and his family later lived in various places, including Sacramento, California, Webster City, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, before ultimately building their forever home in Alabama.
Throughout his life, Berm worked a variety of jobs, always dedicated to providing the best life possible for his family. For over 10 years, he was a valued employee at Huntsville Hospital.
Berm will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a humble and loving man, full of laughter and warmth, with a smile that could light up any room. He found joy in the outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, building, or tending to his garden—and took great pride in creating a beautiful space where family and friends could gather and feel at home.
Berm’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation and service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 11am-1pm at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory; 16 Hughes Rd Madison, AL 35758.
