Everhett “GG” Martin, beloved son of Kelly Elizabeth Martin and Adam Martin, passed away in Huntsville, AL, on Friday, September 25, 2026. The fourth of five children, GG was born at Ft. Wainwright, AK, on Friday, March 8, 2019, under the Northern Lights!

Currently a second-grade student at Russell Branch Elementary in Madison, AL, GG was previously a student at Skipcha Elementary and Seagert Elementary in Harker Heights/Killeen, Texas, and Williams Elementary and Early Childhood Center at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. If you were blessed to know GG, then you experienced the joy of pure love. His personality was one of happiness with a heaping side of spice!

GG loved classic rock but was vehemently opposed to Van Halen! He adored show tunes and was moved to tears by Les Miserable. Saturdays in the fall would find GG calling the Hogs and rooting for the SEC. In his final game, GG pulled for Ole Miss over LSU. He won! GG maintained that he could always see better than the referees. He liked his brisket “just so,” and never met a banana pudding or sweet potato he didn’t love.

Everhett was a miracle; we were blessed with seven years of non-stop GG giggles. He loved his siblings fiercely and always had kisses to give. In exchange, his siblings would sneak him extra pudding and all the cotton candy he wanted.

In addition to his parents, GG is survived by his brother, Bennett Michael Wade Martin, sisters, Roslyn Elizabeth Uriel Martin and Martha Savannah Ambriel “Savvy” Martin; Maternal grandparents Melinda Kalb Beith, and Lynn (Jennifer) Brown; Paternal grandparents Penney Garrison Martin, Robby Martin (Jayson Pruitt) and Audrey Owens (Geoff); Great grandparents Tony Brown, John (Kay) Garrison, Glenn (Becky) Martin, and Lane and Chris Denard; beloved uncle Adam Quinn Beith, aunts Taylor Brown and Tyler Butler, and a plethora of cousins and extended family.

GG was preceded in death by his brother, Gabriel Quinn Lorcan Martin, uncles Cody Holmes and Braedon Kirkpatrick, and great grandparents Andrew Beith, and Jimmy and Judy Hill.

Services to be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11am; the service will begin at noon. Following the service, a reception will be held at Trinity Baptist Church. The Reverend David Berg will officiate.

GG was a bright and colorful guy. We humbly request that you dress in bright colors and/or support your favorite football team (even if it means wearing orange!)
