Florence Ethel Simpson

Florence Ethel Shadowens Simpson, age 93, entered into the arms of her Savior peacefully at home on October 24, 2026.

She was born on February 13, 1933 in Nashville, TN to John and Nannie Shadowens. She grew up there with 12 siblings. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Joe Wade Simpson. They were married 66 years and had four children, one beautiful girl and three rambunctious boys. Her children blessed her with ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband, Joe, her son, Kevin, and her siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie and her husband, Jimmy; her daughter in law, Donna; her son, Eric; and her son, Scott and his wife, Diana.

Services will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral home on Thursday, October 29, 2026
