Kathy A. Buffaloe Cook

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Kathy Cook, age 75.

Kathy went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2026 at 3:30 AM. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

We find hope and comfort knowing she is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus.

Kathy graduated from Hazelgreen highschool. She loved music and singing in church. Kathy enjoyed serving the Lord and dedicated her life to ministering to others. She served as a missionary both foreign and domestic for over 30 years alongside her husband. She has maintained many friendships from her years in Uganda and from the churches that she and Bob have planted stateside. Her chocolate gravy, Thanksgiving dressing, and homemade carrot cake are the highlights of the holidays. Her favorite color is purple. She cherished her grandchildren deeply and is proud of everything they accomplish.

Kathy is survived by Faithful loving Husband Robert, sons Matthew (Jo) and Brian (Rebecca) and her beloved grandchildren Brandon. Bradley, Barrett, and Bella. Her sisters Barbara and Debra.

She is preceded in death by her father Cletus Buffaloe.

Location for viewing and service will be at Madison Baptist Church, 840 Balch Road, Madison, Alabama. Burial will follow the funeral service at Valhalla Funeral Home and Gardens. All are invited to attend services. Kathy’s funeral service will take place Friday, September 18, 2026. Visitation will start at 12:00 PM and conclude into the service at 1:00 PM.
