In Loving Memory of Lawrence Richard Schiber Sr.
Lawrence Richard Schiber Sr., lovingly known as Larry, was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His Catholic faith and love for his family were at the heart of who he was.
Born in Illinois, Larry later made his way to California, where he enjoyed playing tennis with family and friends. He took great pride in being part of the Space Shuttle Program at Vandenberg Air Force Base. His career eventually took him to Florida and then Huntsville, Alabama.
Larry appreciated the simple things in life, especially time spent with family. He looked forward to weekends, relaxing and sharing a cigar with his son Lawrence. Those quiet moments together became special memories that will always be treasured.
Larry leaves behind his loving children, Lawrence (Denise) Schiber, Stephen (Sylvia) Schiber, and Leslie (Logan) Haughwout; his grandchildren, Gentry, Austin, Sara, and Trey; his siblings, Carol Thomas, Linda Petty, and Philip Schiber; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Schiber; his parents, Margaret and George Schiber; and his brother, Michael Schiber.
Larry’s family will always cherish the memories, laughter, and time they shared with him. While he will be greatly missed, the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind will stay in their hearts forever.
Rest peacefully, Larry. You are loved and will never be forgotten.
