Sylvia Hernandez Rothwell

Sylvia Hernandez Rothwell, 85, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Born in Tampa, Florida, Sylvia was a dedicated employee for many years at SCI in Huntsville. She found her greatest joy in cooking and spending time with her family, who will always miss her deeply.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Tina-Jo Rothwell-Betts, along with a loving circle of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Rocky” Rothwell, and her daughters, Cynthia M. Rothwell, Sherri Lee Rothwell, Zoila A. Frye, grandson, Donald L “Donnie” Betts and brother, Reinaldo “Rey” Hernandez De Garcia.

Family will welcome visitors for a celebration of life from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Legacy Funeral Home in Madison.
