Vicki Lea Swanson

Mrs. Vicki Lea Swanson, 75, of Madison, Alabama, died on October 21, 2026, in Huntsville.

Born on September 10, 1951, in Carrollton, Georgia, Mrs. Swanson lived a life marked by devotion to her family and by the many simple joys that brought her happiness. She was a church pianist for many years, a role that reflected an important part of her life and service.

Mrs. Swanson is survived by her husband, Chris; her daughters, Carla Merrell (Byron) and Carolyn Hill; and her son, Casey Hill (Mandy). She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Veston Lea. She also held a special place in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the sunshine of her life.

Vicki loved many people and many things, and those who knew her will remember the enthusiasm she brought to the moments she enjoyed most. She loved Alabama football, Britcoms, cooking shows, and Jeopardy. Some of her happiest times were spent cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren from the sidelines, whether at high school, college, or little league events.

In every part of her life, Mrs. Swanson found meaning in family, faith, and the pleasures of everyday living. Her presence will be remembered by those who shared in her life, her interests, and her steadfast support.

Mrs. Vicki Swanson will be remembered with love and gratitude by her family and all who knew her. A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Mt Zion Baptist Church 228 Mt Zion Rd. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to service time.
